Oak Slatted Cinema Unit

White oak

This unit was designed for an in-home theater room. Using the slatted cabinet face concept in horizontal orientation for the drawers and vertical orientation for the cabinets, the result is a stylistically balanced look that has a playful variation.

The white oak is sealed in a white tinted finish which really cools down the naturally warm tones of the timber.

The surface on the right side has a 1” dish lip that captures anything being stored or displayed on it, and the edge mimics the slatted motif with vertical kerf-cuts throughout

The handles for the drawers and cabinets are black tab pulls by Hafele, and are subtle enough to blend in, but obvious enough to inform the user where to grab to open them.
