Game Night Nook

Commissioned | Bleached ash, black walnut and ebonized ash  

This built-in was brought to Next Bevel from a client who needed a game nook for the entertaining area of their home.

After careful consideration, the choice was made to use white tinted ash and walnut as the materials. The lateral supports on the table are actually ebonized ash, which is a process which turns specific woods like ash almost black.

During the design process the client asked about doing a matching paneled wall behind the unit. I used rift sawn ash which has clean, straight lines in its grain pattern, accented with walnut strips between each sheet.
