Commissioned | Bleached ash, black walnut and ebonized ash  

This built-in was brought to Next Bevel from a client who needed a game nook for the entertaining area of their home.

The space that this unit was to be built in was in a downstairs, below ground so there was limited natural light

After careful consideration, the choice was made to use white tinted ash to bring more light into the space with walnut as a contrasting trim. The lateral supports on the table are actually ebonized ash, which is a process which turns specific woods like ash almost black.

During the design process the client asked about doing a matching paneled wall behind the unit. I used rift sawn ash which has clean, straight lines in its grain pattern, accented with walnut strips between each sheet.
