Commissioned | Bench: 21” depth, 17” high 73” x 80” length | Desk: 21” depth, 30” height, 34” length

This unit was conceptualized as a modern banquette with top-loading storage and a desk on one end. After many iterations, the client landed on this slatted design for the faces of the cabinetry. What makes this unit unique is that the slats themselves were cut sequentially from solid white oak slabs. This is evident in the continuation of the grain pattern as one looks at the face of the cabinetry.

The base of the cabinets is recessed to give a floating feel to the unit.

The accompanying desk is made of a solid slab of locally sourced ash, and was configured with tech access to fit the needs of the client.
